Longport The American Mile

The American Mile is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026 in Longport. Sponsored by the Longport Volunteer Fire Department, the one-mile point-to-point race begins at 6:30 PM at 11th Avenue and Atlantic Avenue and runs north on Atlantic Avenue to the finish at Pelham Avenue. Race-day packet pickup takes place at the Longport Fire House at 2305 Atlantic Avenue from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Registration fees vary by date and age group, awards are given to top overall and age-group finishers, and post-race hot dogs and drinks are served back at the fire house.
