Mantoloking Celebrates America 250

Mantoloking Celebrates America 250 is a town-wide July 2 through July 4 celebration coordinated with the Mantoloking Yacht Club and supported by the borough for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Thursday begins at 7:00 PM with a dedication ceremony honoring Christopher D'Alessandro at the Mantoloking Yacht Club main dock at the west end of Downer Avenue, followed by a red, white, and blue dock party and the opening of the historic photo display in the Sailing Center. Friday features a 6:00 PM family BBQ and dancing under the tent with live music by Daddy Pop, kids games on the lawn, and the photo display continuing. Saturday includes the 9:00 AM Casie and Chrissy Memorial Mile Run, the 10:00 AM Henry Barton Memorial Sailboat Race with a 9:30 AM skippers meeting, open grill from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, the noon Jane Post Memorial Parade, children's games from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and the Robert J. Morris Flag Raising and Awards at 12:45 PM. No general admission fee was posted in the official notice; the Friday BBQ references registration through the event page.
