Margate Memorials Lifeguard Races

The Margate Memorials Lifeguard Races are scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026 at 6:30 PM on the Decatur Avenue beach. Also known as the Margate World War II Memorial Lifeguard Races, the competition brings beach patrols from Brigantine through Cape May together for traditional ocean rescue-style events. Spectators gather along the beach to watch rowing, swimming, paddling, and other lifeguard competition in one of Margate's most respected summer athletic traditions.
