Nightmare in Strathmere

Nightmare in Strathmere is the Strathmere Fishing and Environmental Club's annual late-summer boat parade and house-decorating fundraiser along the bayfront. Decorated boats, kayaks, decks, and homes compete for prizes, with the boat parade traditionally beginning around 6:30 PM and awards held afterward at the Deauville Inn. The event raises money for the club's community and environmental projects, including osprey platforms, dune grass planting, turtle conservation, beach cleanups, and fishing programs.
