Ocean City Hermit Crab Races

Ocean City's Hermit Crab Races are scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2026 immediately after the Miss Crustacean Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant at the 6th Street beach. Registration is free and begins at 5:30 PM. Spectators can watch decorated and speedy hermit crabs race in one of Ocean City's quirkiest summer traditions.
