Where to Park for the Beach
Choose the beach entrance closest to your accommodation and use a legal public curb space on the surrounding streets. Long Beach Township includes Brant Beach, Beach Haven Crest, North Beach, Loveladies, Holgate and other communities, so include the street number and community name when navigating.
Beach badges are separate from parking. Purchasing a badge does not provide a reserved space.
Bayview Park and 68th Street
The municipal complex and Bayview Park provide parking for township offices, recreation programs and park activities. Concerts, festivals and other events can occupy the lot or temporarily close part of 68th Street. Do not rely on this lot as general all-day beach parking when an event or municipal activity is scheduled.
Free Parking Rules
- Read signs on the block where the vehicle is parked.
- Keep driveways, intersections, fire zones and pedestrian routes open.
- Do not park at a boat ramp, park or municipal facility unless using that facility under its posted rules.
- After flooding, avoid standing water and obey temporary closures.
Accessible Beach Access
The Beach Gator program transports eligible visitors from a streetside entrance over the dunes. Beach Wheels are also available. Contact the township transportation program in advance to confirm operating dates, pickup procedures and the best place to park.
RVs, Trailers and Overnight Parking
Arrange parking with your rental owner or accommodation before bringing an RV, camper, boat trailer or oversized vehicle. Do not assume an unmetered street permits overnight storage.
Use the LBI Shuttle
Once legally parked, the LBI Shuttle can reduce the need to move the car for dining and entertainment. The 2026 summer schedule begins June 26 and generally operates during afternoon and evening hours. Memorial Day and shoulder-season schedules differ. Exact fare is required, and digital passes are available through My Beach Mobile.
