Monarch Tagging Demo

Monarch Tagging Demo is a free Cape May Bird Observatory program at the East Shelter next to the Hawkwatch Platform in Cape May Point State Park. The 2026 schedule includes Friday demonstrations from September 4 through October 9. Visitors learn about monarch migration through Cape May, the Monarch Monitoring Project's research and outreach, and how small tags are attached to monarch butterflies to help track their journey to Mexico. Contributions to the Monarch Monitoring Project are welcome.
