Parking in Atlantic City

Atlantic City offers casino garages, venue garages, surface lots and metered street parking. Prices vary by location and event, so the most useful approach is to choose a garage near your primary destination and verify its current rate before driving in.

Where to Park

Casinos and the Boardwalk

Use the self-parking garage or valet service at the casino closest to your destination. Check the casino’s current parking rate, loyalty-card discounts and reentry policy before arrival. Casino parking is not universally free.

Atlantic City Convention Center

The Convention Center garage has 1,200 spaces, a seven-foot height clearance and a published $20 parking price. Motorcoach parking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Advance reservations may be offered through ParkMobile.

Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall

The Arena Garage entrance is at the end of Mississippi Avenue and the Boardwalk, through the tunnel. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Rates vary by event, and prepaid parking may be offered with event tickets. Nearby alternatives include the Convention Center Garage and Wave Garage.

Gardner’s Basin and Other Neighborhoods

Use a signed public lot, legal street space or parking supplied by the attraction. Do not assume that a casino or residential permit covers another district.

Street Parking and ParkMobile

Read the kiosk or sign at the exact space for the current price, enforcement hours and maximum stay. Enter the displayed ParkMobile zone, space and license plate carefully. Nearby blocks can use different zones, and ParkMobile charges a transaction fee.

Residential Permit Zones

Atlantic City residential permits are for eligible residents and their visitors. A hotel reservation does not authorize parking in a residential-permit zone.

Accessible and EV Parking

Major garages provide marked accessible spaces. Use a valid placard or plate and keep access aisles clear. Electric-vehicle charging is available at selected facilities, including EV spaces at the Wave Garage. Charging prices, time limits and idle fees are separate from ordinary parking charges.

Event Parking Tips

• Reserve through the venue’s authorized parking link when available.
• Expect event pricing during major concerts and conventions.
• Verify the garage entrance, not just the venue address.
• Confirm overnight and oversized-vehicle acceptance in advance.

Alternatives to Driving

The Atlantic City Rail Terminal is next to the Convention Center. Complimentary shuttles connect scheduled trains with casinos. Regular jitneys run 24/7 along major visitor corridors; the current cash fare is $3 per ride.
