Parking in Beach Haven

All public parking in Beach Haven is free. Visitors can use legal street spaces and designated ocean-side public parking areas, but locations near the beach, Bay Village, Fantasy Island and downtown restaurants fill quickly during summer.

Where to Park for the Beach

The borough identifies public ocean-side parking areas at:

• Taylor Avenue
• Centre Street
• Engleside Avenue
• Amber Street
• Coral Street
• Pearl Street
• Marine Street
• Approximately one-half block south of Nelson Avenue

These areas are first come, first served. Beach admission is separate, and a badge does not reserve parking.

Parking for Bay Village, Fantasy Island and Downtown

Use a legal public street space within walking distance or a lot designated for your destination. Private restaurant, shop, marina and attraction lots may be restricted to customers. Park once and walk among nearby attractions rather than moving the vehicle for every stop.

Municipal-Lot Time Limit

A vehicle, including a trailer, may not remain in borough-owned parking lots for more than 48 hours total—continuous or accumulated—within a seven-day period. This prevents free public lots from being used for long-term storage.

Accessible Parking and the Beach Taxi

Marked accessible spaces require a valid placard or plate. Beach Haven also operates a free Beach Taxi for eligible visitors who need help reaching the beach. In 2026, morning pickups are scheduled between 10:20 a.m. and 1 p.m., and afternoon beach pickups end at 4:30 p.m. Confirm reservations and operating details before arrival.

Important Restrictions

• Free parking does not override loading zones, accessible spaces or no-parking signs.
• Do not block driveways, curb ramps, hydrants or emergency beach approaches.
• The 48-hour limit does not authorize camping or sleeping in a vehicle.
• Event and parade restrictions may temporarily close otherwise legal spaces.
